Arid land of promises for the future, but rich in fruits. Just after finishing school,
Gianni went to
learn the craft from a master carpenter in town: working wood, understanding
its character, and beginning to use the first tools of the trade. After about three years,
the wave of young people emigrating to Northern Europe carried him as well, taking him to
Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Germany, where he honed his skills. In
1985, in San Vito dei Normanni, he transformed a 40 sqm garage into his first
artisanal workshop. The first investment was a historic Combinata, now a witness to
the origins, while the carpentry workshop expanded to 1000 sqm.
Today Gianni is joined by his sons Angelo and Alessio, who have introduced
innovation and new technologies while keeping traditional craftsmanship alive.
The workshop creates custom furniture that combines aesthetics and functionality,
thanks also to state-of-the-art machinery and collaboration with
architects and designers. Continuous study and updates allow the
Turco Family to combine tradition, creativity, and innovation, taking their
art to international markets.
OUR STORY
Our story begins with the passion of Gianni Turco, who as a young man learned the craft
of carpentry in the town workshop and later perfected his skills in Austria, Netherlands,
Switzerland, and Germany.
